My Review
I'm so glad that Cassey wrote this book, besides me loving to read, it was great to see some stuff she talked about written out on paper, including the recipes. I've been following Cassey now for a little over two months, and the third week in March I decided to start doing her workouts, besides doing one and not doing anymore for a week and a half. Cassey is so energetic and positive that it becomes contagious. This is like a POP Pilates Bible and it's amazing.
I already knew Cassey story from a video she had posted on her YouTube and I have to say that I'm very proud of her and I hope one day I could be like her. I admit I didn't know anything about how Pilates started, so that was great to read about as well. Her encouraging notes that she haves throughout the book really resonates with me and made me feel that I can keep on going when I wanted to quite. She said things inside that I was never told and it made me emotional. This review could be me praising Cassey on how great of a person she is but I will try not to do that.
Okay, the cover is beautiful and the back cover; I really like the colors and the font, it demands your attention. The pictures inside though, are breathtaking, I can't really decide which season I love more. I did do some of those moves and I hurted so good. After you are shown the moves, you get a list of what vegetables and fruits that are in season along with recipes (which I will try out soon). At the end of each season, there's an encouraging note from Cassey. This was my first health/workout book that made it seem like you were talking to a friend who changed their lives; that makes you feel like you can too.
There's very little medical terms in here so it was easy for me to understand and not feeling like I need to look up every other word to figure out what the author is talking about, so that was a big plus for me.
I do hope Cassey comes out with another book, maybe a cookbook or one of those encouraging notebooks/journals, because she's so aspiring and positive that I want to hear more about how to change myself into a new me. Cassey is a beautiful person and I always looked forward to doing her workouts everyday.
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
