Hello and welcome to my first monthly wrap up. I hope you enjoy it. This month's wrap up will be a boring one seeing how I got nothing done, didn't buy anything besides books with a few disappointing boxes I got from the subscription services I am apart of.
So lets get started shall we

SUBSCRIPTION BOXES
First up, my Love With Food box. Love With Food is a monthly serive that delievers natural or organic snacks to your door every month. With every box you buy LWF donates 1 meal to hungry children in America.
There are 3 different type of boxes you can get: The Tasting Box which is $10/month with 8+ snacks each month, with snacks being either all-natural, GMO-free, gluten-free or free of artificial junk.
The Deluxe Box which is $17/month with 16-20 snack each month and donates 2 meals. Finally there is the Gluten Free Box that is $24.50/month with 8-12 snacks and donates 2 meals. All boxes come with free shipping.
I have the Tasting Box. This month theme was Starry Nights and I received:
Okay, so I love this box, my favorite thing out of it, has to be the Sour Beans, they were so juicy and made from real fruit juices. It wasn't really that sour to be honest. Least favorite has to be the green tea and that's because I don't like tea (mainly because I don't know how to take it, especially with green tea). I didn't try the hummus snack pack, but my mom did like it.
Overall rating of the box: 4.5 Stars and well worth the money I payed for it.

Uppercase Box is a YA subscription service, that comes with something sign, a book, exclusive author interview, and swag. April's book was The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord and that was sign, a quote print, a pin, and bookish magnets.
You have two different types of boxes you can get: You can get the expert box for $23 + shipping, were a book is picked for you. Or you can get the personalized box for $29 + shipping, were you pick the genre you want. I have the expert box.
About the book: Brimming with heartfelt relationships and authentic high-school dynamicsThe Start of Me and You proves that it’s never too late for second chances.
It’s been a year since it happened—when Paige Hancock’s first boyfriend died in an accident. After shutting out the world for two years, Paige is finally ready for a second chance at high school . . . and she has a plan. First: Get her old crush, Ryan Chase, to date her—the perfect way to convince everyone she’s back to normal. Next: Join a club—simple, it’s high school after all. But when Ryan’s sweet, nerdy cousin, Max, moves to town and recruits Paige for the Quiz Bowl team (of all things!) her perfect plan is thrown for a serious loop. Will Paige be able to face her fears and finally open herself up to the life she was meant to live?
I'm willing to admit, that I'm not going to read this book straight away, I really don't like contemporary, but I'm willing to give this a try. The fun thing about it is that they included these sticky notes to make it interactive. The magnets are okay, but I probably won't use them, same with the pin. I did love the print though, it's so cute and colorful.
This was a miss for me, I loved my March Box, and I can't wait to see what we get in May!!

Loot Crate is a geek and gamer service that costs $13.65 + $6 shipping. Each month haves a different theme and this months theme was 'Fantasy.'
What was in the box:
I didn't like the box at all, I only liked the shirt and USB. I don't travel, so even though I love Harry Potter, it was useless. Inflatable crown is currently being used by my little brother, I don't wear bow ties, neither does anyone in my house. I don't play cards, but they're okay I guess and again with the Magnets, I won't being using them. My fridge is already covered with magnets.
Lately I have been disappointed in the boxes. Each box will have one thing or two that I would love and the rest are just blah. So I had decided to unsubscribe from them for the time being. I don't know when I will subscribe again, but not anytime soon. They do where you can purchase previous boxes sometimes and I will purchase a box if I like it.
I kind of wish they have another option that you can skip a month box if you don't like it or have the money for it.

BOOK WRAP UP
April was a slow month of reading for, I was in such a slump, I only managed to read three books.
1. Hot Body Year Round by Cassey Ho: Here's the review. To sum it up, I loved it. I've been following Cassey's workouts on YouTube for three months and started a month ago and I feel great. She's a great instructor and motivator. I really hope she comes out with a cook book, because those few teasers weren't good enough for me.
2. The Voyage of the Basilisk by Marie Brennan, Book 3 in the Lady Trent Memoirs: Here's my review. I gave it a 4.5 stars, this wasn't my favorite of the books that are currently out, but I still loved it and the new side characters.
3. How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters by Andrew Shaffer: Loved it, it made me laugh. I love the little illustrations inside and the ranking system.

I'm glad I actually went throw posting my monthly wrap up. Nothing really happened this month, hopefully May will bring better excitement/news, blogs posts. I do have a few posts in mind, hopefully I get to write them, because I don't have that much time on the computer.
